COLORWAVE

COLORWAVE is a blanket with patterns that change depending on the viewing direction and angle. Its surface has a natural texture, and on the raised areas, designs combining two different images are woven in, revealing different expressions depending on the angle. The pattern design is inspired by shifting light. Yuri Himuro created the weaving structure herself, using only wool and cotton yarns to produce this special effect. The impression of the pattern changes depending on the shape of what it covers—such as a sofa or bed—and the viewer’s position. From a distance, the colors blend together, creating a sense of depth and layered expression. COLORWAVEは、見る方向や角度によって柄の印象が変化するブランケットです。表面は自然な凹凸になっており、凸の部分には二つの画像を組み合わせた図案が織り込まれ、見る角度によって異なる表情が楽しめます。柄のデザインは、うつろう光からインスピレーションを得ています。織の設計を自ら手がけ、ウールとコットンの糸のみでこの特殊な効果を生み出しています。ソファやベッドなど、かけるものの形状や視点の位置によって柄の印象が変わります。遠くから見ると色彩が混じり合い、奥行きのある表情が浮かび上がります。
