Cultivate for cc-tapis
Cultivate Collection is a new rug design for GESTURE collection by cc-tapis. This rug’s idea is from my SNIP SNAP collections. SNIP SNAP is a jacquard weaving textile that allows you to snip and snap with scissors to arrange its design. In this rugs, cutting will become a process of creation, instead of destruction. The texture is going to be grown so it is like a cultivating process. The customization of this kind will bring a smile to peopleʼ s faces and cultivate a sense of emotional attachment toward their belongings. GESTURE collection is designed by Patricia Urquiola, Sabine Marcelis, Philippe Malouin, Mae Engelgeer and Yuri Himuro for cc-tapis. イタリア・ミラノのラグブランド「cc-tapis」とのコラボレーションで、新作ラグ「CULTIVATE collection」が発表されました。 SNIP SNAPのアイデアをラグに応用したデザインで、表面の糸を自由にカットしてテクスチャーを加えたり、柄をつくったりしてアレンジすることができます。 「GESTURE」という今季のコレクションのテーマのもと、Patricia Urquiola、 Sabine Marcelis、 Philippe Malouin、 Mae Engelgeer、Yuri Himuroの5名のデザイナーが新作を手掛けています。
